121-Room Arts District Hotel Offers Spacious Rooms in a Relaxed Atmosphere

An ambitious renovation project by OTO Development brings a new Hilton Garden Inn to downtown Annapolis MD – the first Hilton-branded property in the capital city’s central business district. A total upfit of an existing lodging property, this brand-new hotel – with original on-property restaurant concept – adds momentum to West Street’s emergence as a cultural and culinary destination.

Managed by OTO Development, a Johnson Management company, Hilton Garden Inn Annapolis Downtown is designed for travelers seeking generous accommodations in a relaxed atmosphere.

Located at 174 West Street, this arts district hotel is within walking distance of the Maryland State House, government offices, shopping and dining – and less than a mile from the Naval Academy and Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.

“The staff and I look forward to brightening the stay of guests traveling to the area for fun or business,” says General Manager Brad Brown. “Our focus is to provide guests with the intuitive, heartfelt service they expect from the Hilton Garden Inn brand.”

Guests can dine on-property at Kitchen on West St., which brings Annapolis flair to everyone's favorite fare.

“This is comfort food with a creative twist,” says Food & Beverage Director Demetra Iyanda, noting examples like a Grilled Cheese sandwich that’s all grown up with three cheeses, bacon and berry compote; and Eggs Chesapeake, which redefines Benedict with crab cakes in place of the traditional Canadian bacon. “We are all about turning old favorites into totally new favorites.”

Kitchen on West St. offers 1,400 sq. ft. of indoor and outdoor seating for breakfast and casual dinner, which includes a kids’ menu. The space is designed to be simultaneously trendy and cozy, Iyanda says, “a place where guests and locals alike can gather for food, drinks and fellowship in a relaxed, Annapolis-inspired ambiance.”

The bar* serves up a variety of beer, wine and crafted cocktails, heavy on martinis – think Godiva Chocolate, Blueberry, Basil, even Lavandula – as well as signature drinks like the Smoked Maple Old Fashioned, which is served in a smoked glass to enhance the bourbon and garnished with a cherry and orange slice frozen into an ice cube.

The Pavilion Pantry®/Garden Market is open 24/7, providing a complete selection of salty snacks, sweet treats, cold beverages, and microwaveable packaged items.

The hotel features 1,665 square feet of flexible meeting space, complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the property, and a 24/7 fitness center with cardio and strength training equipment.

There are 121 guestrooms at Hilton Garden Inn Annapolis Downtown, including two executive suites with outdoor terraces and eight balcony rooms. All of these spacious, airy rooms boast the brand’s signature bedding with fresh, white duvets and crisp linens, a clutter-free work desk and ergonomic desk chair, and an in-room "hospitality center" with a mini fridge, microwave and Keurig coffee maker.
