OTO Purchases First Texas Property: Hyatt House Dallas/Uptown

OTO Development has purchased its first property in Texas, expanding the geographic reach of the company’s portfolio of upscale select service, extended stay, and lifestyle hotels.

The South Carolina-based hotelier, part of The Johnson Group, acquired Hyatt House Dallas/Uptown on Thursday, September 4.

Hyatt House Dallas/Uptown is a 4-story, 141-key extended stay hotel in the Harwood District, which comprises premier office space, condominiums, restaurants, and lodging. The walkable location is an easy 5-minute stroll to Katy Trail, an urban greenway, and only a few short blocks to The Crescent Court and the American Airlines Center, home of the Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Stars. It’s convenient to the area’s growing number of corporate and regional headquarters, and a 30-minute drive from the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.

As the only extended stay property in Uptown Dallas, Hyatt House offers upscale studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom suites, each with a full kitchen, work area, and living space. Amenities include an outdoor pool, a fitness room, a 24/7 business center, and a grab-and-go H Market. Breakfast is complimentary, with dinner and drinks available at the onsite H Bar.  

Upon purchase of Hyatt House Dallas/Uptown, OTO plans a refresh of guest rooms, shared spaces, and outdoor leisure areas. In addition to its proven operations system, OTO will support the hotel with a corporate platform comprising technology, human resources, revenue management, and marketing.
