The Fairfield Inn & Suites in Marathon, Florida represents OTO’s continued effort in repositioning existing assets in high-performing, high-barrier markets with value-add potential. OTO’s second Keys acquisition, the Marathon property benefits from a waterfront location in one of the top sportfishing destinations in the world and the second most visited island in the Keys. The property now offers 161 guest rooms, along with a leased restaurant, Sparky’s Landing, and a 10-slip marina and building. The scope of OTO’s redevelopment included a substantial renovation to the existing rooms, bringing water sports and activities to a reopened marina, and the addition of 27 rooms in a newly constructed building. The renovated and expanded 161-room property opened in October 2020. OTO acquired the 134-room Holiday Inn Express Marathon in December 2018.
